Poster Taller Mercado II DNO0421 (2016)
As part of the curriculum of the undergraduate degree in Design, during 2016 I took a course called Mercado II with professor Ricardo Vega who introduced us to digital tools to create graphic pieces through programming, with a tool called Processing more specifically. We could choose the theme of the project and in my case I chose to play with a few data about The Simpsons.
From project brief: For this project I wanted to mix the banal and mundane aspect of Homer Simpson's
expression with the complexity of code written for Processing with the goal of demonstraing that
basically any type of data can be visualized.
(...) The colours used were chosen based on the series, especially those used in the iconic donut Homer eats. The circles without fill represent each season (including credits at the beginning) and the little dots represent the amount of times the expression is repeated.
